The 4 ways to get around once you arrive in Corsica and get as close as possible to the start of the GR20 are :
- your feet (but you’ll wear them out enough on the GR20)
- taxis (a bit expensive on long journeys)
- trains (not very well developed in Corsica)
- buses. The bus is an excellent means of transport in Corsica, because it is inexpensive and comfortable for traveling in Corsica.
The bus network in Corsica
Corsica has a well-developed bus network, giving youeasy access to the GR20. Here is some information on the bus routes, journey times and fares for the season 2024.
- GR20 NORD: Buses can take you to the nearest point on the GR20, Calvi or Calenzana. There are two bus departures from Calvi to Calenzana (2.30pm and 7.30pm) between June and September, at a cost of €10 per person. More info
- GR20 SUD: there are shuttle buses from Porto Vecchio to Conca, costing between €8 and €15 per person depending on the stop you choose (you can then take another bus to Bastia). For more info.

As mentioned above, Calenzana can be reached directly by bus. So if you’re arriving in Corsica by ferry or plane, you can easily imagine reaching Calenzana by bus

Bus routes around Conca
There is no direct bus service to Conca, but there is a shuttle bus (€4) that can take you as far as Sainte Lucie de Porto Vecchio and then a bus service. We invite you to consult this page.
